Reviving the glory days of spandex, big hair, and bold musicianship, Fair Warning - The Ultimate Tribute to Early Van Halen, always parties like it's 1984. Focusing exclusively on the iconic music of Van Halen's first six records (which featured DAVID LEE ROTH), Fair Warning brings the style, sound, and energy of a polished arena act wherever they play.
Fair Warning are Western Canada's premier 80's hard rock nostalgia act. With authentic period costumes, striped guitars and big sound, Fair Warning recreates all the iconic moments of Van Halens' legendary live show down to the last detail. Formed in 2017 by founding members Dave Groves and Bassist Marty Van Keith. We all knew that we needed to make this Tribute Band happen as we were all simply Inspired and ultimately Blown Away by the Kick Ass Music and Live Show that is the Early Van Halen Experience. Fair Warning recently lost a great friend, Mr. Marty Van Keith, bassist and a founding member who passed away in 2020. Rest in Peace Marty,You are Truly Missed. Current members are Dave Groves (Guitars), Glenn Regnier (Drums), Mark Kenny (Bass) Shawn Klatt (Vocals). Shawn Klatt moved to Vancouver in 91, played in 2 original bands, In The Flesh and The Daisychain. Shawn has also shared the stage with many great Canadian Rockers such as Prism and Jeff Neil of Streetheart and currently also with CRUSH Featuring Anthony Della Croce of the Headpins. Glenn Regnier is no stranger to the live music scene in Vancouver, having played drums for a variety of different bands over the years, including tributes such as Damage Inc - Metallica, Snaggletooth - Motörhead, and Abba Again - Abba. Aside from Fair Warning, Glenn's current projects include GNFNR - a tribute to Guns N Roses, Nick Gilder & Sweeney Todd, and a handful of different cover bands. Dave Groves has previously played and recorded with: Nick Gilder and Sweeney Todd, Soulbender featuring members of Queensryche and Nevermore, and is currently recording with Vancouver-based rockers Mad Symphony. Dave prefers Dave to Sammy and likes long walks on the beach. Mark Kenny is a veteran Vancouver based musician, performing in a variety of club and casino acts such as Rude Awakening, Madhouse, The Spazmatics, One and a half, The Church Of Rock And Roll and YVR.
